Checked Baggage Allowance: Piece vs. Weight Concept

Singapore Airlines uses two types of baggage systems, depending on your destination.

Weight concept of most destinations except the USA & Canada:

  • Economy Class: For (Lite 25kg, Standard 30kg, Flexi 35kg, Premium Economy Class  35kg).
  • Business Class: Up to 40kg is permitted per passenger. 
  • First Class/Suites: Up to 50kg weight a person can carry, and if you are a member of the PPS club, an extra 20 kg is allowed.

Note: There is no limit on the number of bags, but try not to exceed 32 kg due to safety concerns.

Piece Concept (Applicable for flights to/from USA and Canada):

  • Economy and Premium Economy: 2 bags with a max of 23kg (50lbs) each are allowed.
  • Business/First/Suite: 2 bags are permitted with a max weight of up to 32kg (70lbs) for each bag.
  • For PPS Club Members: 1 extra baggage is allowed.
